Eligibility Criteria 2026
1. Educational Qualification
Constable (Executive/GD): 12th Standard pass from a recognized board.
Constable (Driver): 10th Standard pass + Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driving License.
Sub-Inspector: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
Technical Posts (ASI Radio/Tech): Degree or Diploma in Electronics, Communication, or IT.
2. Age Limit (As of May 17, 2026)
Constable (Male): 18 – 25 Years
Constable (Female): 18 – 30 Years
Sub-Inspector / ASI: Not exceeding 30 Years
Note: Age relaxation is applicable (5 years for ST, 3 years for OBC).
Selection Process
The selection is conducted in a structured manner to ensure physical and mental fitness:
Physical Measurement & Endurance Test (PM&ET): Qualifying stage involving height/chest checks and running (1.6 km for males in 7 mins; 800m for females in 5 mins).
Written Examination: Objective-type questions covering GK, Reasoning, Mathematics, English, and Hindi.
Trade Test: Only for specific roles like Driver, Cook, Barber, and Bandsmen.
Medical Examination: Final verification of health and eyesight standards.
